The annual Belgravia in Bloom festival will see a flourish of floral activity across the unique streets. This year, the theme of ‘The Language of Flowers’ invites you to uncover the secret meanings behind flowers.

Inspired by the Victorian-era concept where secret messages were sent through flowers, bouquets and potted plants. A discreet language heralded as one of the most discreet and beautiful forms of communication.

Join us in Belgravia for more than 50 spectacular installations, as well as immersive floral themed events.

Coinciding with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show from 20-25 May, Belgravia in Bloom will invite visitors to discover the hidden meanings behind more than 50 spectacular installations across Elizabeth Street, Motcomb Street, Pimlico Road and Eccleston Yards.

‘Floriography’ (the language of flowers) was a Victorian-era concept that saw individuals send secret messages through bouquets and potted plants. Belgravia in Bloom will pay homage to this silent, discreet language, which has long been one of the most beautiful forms of communication.

Throughout the festival, Belgravia’s Eccleston Yards and Halkin Arcade will flourish with several free immersive installations. Eccleston Yards will offer creative workshops from floral illustration to herbal tea blending, at the Botanic Identity Station in the courtyard, while the recently refurbished Halkin Arcade, off Motcomb Street, will host the Mood Gardens –four small gardens planted to improve mood and relieve stress. It will also encompass poetry points and a flower reading station where visitors will be able to have a reading taken from flower cards.

Retailers throughout Belgravia will create products and experiences inspired by ‘The Language of Flowers’, exclusively available in their Belgravia stores. See below for full list of planned activity and products.

As part of the festival, Grosvenor will run a competition amongst retailers for the best overall display, best themed display and most creative product with the winners announced on Belgravia’s Instagram feed @Belgravia_LDN and www.mayfairandbelgravia.comthe official website.
