Traveling in time and space, flying, jumping from a building, disappearing, shooting laser energy from your hands and transform a person into an object: these are just some of the magic powers used by superheroes.

But how are they shot in the movies?

We will discover it in this workshop, where we will create superheroic characters and we will learn how to use special effects to make their powers look realistic in a movie.

Your children will explore the roles of a real film set (actors, directors, camera operators, clapper board loaders, etc.) and they will learn in a playful way technical and storytelling skills (including the types of camera shots, shooting, writing plots and dialogues, acting in front of the camera and the use of simple special effects).

Stories will be age-appropriate, they can explore different genres and can be inspired by famous books, fairy tales or movies.

They will be developed by the children through a brainstorming process and made into scenes through teamwork.

In this type of activity, children benefit from learning technical as well as social and communication skills.

They can collaborate in developing their creative ideas within a safe and positive environment.

In the middle of the session, there will be a lunch break (30 mins), with food provided.

Equipment is provided too and a final edited video will be sent to the participants by email (through a downloadable link) after the session.
If your child is creative and likes movies, give him/her the opportunity to be the protagonist of a film set for one day!
