Born in June 2016, an instant, sensational and unparalleled response to division and prejudice worldwide, Common and Kind reaches its FOURTH incredible year.
Common and Kind 2019 is a spectacular collaborative concert on Thursday the 27th of June 2019 at the Union Chapel, linked to partnership workshops between schools, refugees and groups from a huge range of backgrounds across London. Schools from Brent, Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Haringey join the Islington Centre for Refugees and MIgrants, Rainbows Across Borders (LGBT asylum seekers), London Humanist Choir and London International Gospel Choir to form an extraordinary massed choir of 400.
They are joined by world leading solo artists from across the musical spectrum, including west end star Cassidy Janson, UK jazz stars Tim Garland and Gwilym Simcock, Bengali pop icon Saida Tani, violin virtuoso Thomas Gould, New York soul sensation J. Hoard, ENO Harewood Artist Nadine Benjamin with the Beethoven Orchestra for Humanity and comedian and host of the BBC’s ‘The Mash Report’, Nish Kumar. The concert will be hosted by veteran anchor of The World Tonight, Robin Lustig.
