Hendrick's Gin launches gin portal 'Lesley's Launderette'

This summer, the unusualists at Hendrick’s Gin invite the curious to escape the conventional, embrace the delectable, and take a leap into the peculiar by visiting ‘Lesley’s Launderette’ – the first in a series of ‘Portals to the Peculiar’ hosted by Hendrick’s Gin.

In a world where 44% of UK folk admit the monotony of their daily lives can get them down and more than half (51%) wish they led a life of curiosity, brimming full of exploration, Hendrick’s offers a platform to depart from this monotony of routine and access the curious character present within us all.

With this in mind, Hendrick’s has created an immersive experience to break up the drab daily grind, taking people beyond the obvious by inspiring moments of delightful peculiarity. In a nod to Hendrick’s Master Distiller, Ms Lesley Gracie herself, the unassuming doorway of Lesley’s Launderette in London’s Shoreditch does nothing to alter that view of the mundane…. But magic is often hidden in plain sight….Those curious enough to step over the threshold, against the backdrop of washing one’s smalls, will be transported from the hum drum and the expected – into a spectacular moment of whimsical oddity infused with rose and cucumber. Upon arrival, those curious laundry goers will be rewarded with the delectably refreshing taste of a Hendrick’s Gin & Tonic, naturally.

Indeed, Hendrick’s is uniquely placed to offer this unconventional interlude: no other gin tastes like Hendrick’s because no other gin is made like Hendrick’s. A marriage of spirits from two utterly distinct stills, using no less than 11 wondrous botanicals, its distinctive character is further enhanced by being oddly infused with rose and cucumber.
