Join us for a number of workshops exploring how to make puppets from recycled materials.

Visitors will be able to make their own puppet or help create a large parade puppet, open to anyone who would like to learn how to make a simple yet expressive puppet, or help create a larger puppet to take part in a parade in the latter part of the festival.

The event is facilitated by Sara Ekenger, Course Leader for MA Design Management course at London College of Communication. Sara makes sculpture, automata and puppets out of found materials and her work will be on display next to the workshop space.

Visitors will be encouraged to bring their own recycled materials, and can stay for as little as 15 minutes, or for the full hour.

This event is part of EMERGENCE, an exhibition and events programme presented by the Design School at London College of Communication, UAL exploring the role of design in working towards goals of sustainable production and consumption, biodiversity, inclusiveness, social cohesion and environmental sustainability.
