Take time to reflect and remember at our Spotlight Saturday, which brings to life the stories of soldiers who fought in the First World War.

It’s 100 years since the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, the most important of the peace agreements that brought the First World War to an end.

To mark this occasion, our latest art exhibition, Danger Tree, uses augmented reality to bring to life the stories of soldiers who fought and fell between 1914 and 1918.

This Spotlight Saturday event goes a step further with the live interpretation of six First World War soldiers’ stories, sharing their personal journeys towards peace.

We invite you to pause and think about how and why we remember, and then hang your own messages on our ‘tree’ of memories.

You can also:
-Take part in poetry workshops with our poet-in-residence, Isobel Palmer
-Create your own poppy in our hands-on session
-Enjoy music from a military band
-Learn more through our First World War-themed guided tours
-Get creative and contribute to our commemorative canvas, inspired by the paintings in the Danger Tree exhibition
