In the border area, in the middle of the night, Rehana, missing her daughter, sung a haunting lullaby. The women at the Petrapole border (between Bangladesh and India) shared their stories with theatre activist, Parnab Mukherjee.
Adajhyo – The Unburnable is an adaptation of “These Trafficked Texts” and features testimonies of trafficked women, interviews, monologues, poetry, songs and dance negotiating issues of Human Rights, gender objectification and discrimination.
A fluid journey where the beginning, middle and end converge and collide as flashbacks include present moments from the lived experiences of trafficked bodies and their minds. A hard hitting and soulful audio-visual experience.
