This October, the indie rock sensation from Jordan will be making his anticipated London debut, supported by Tunsian singer Sabrine Jenhani.
AZIZ MARAKA
Jordanian singer, songwriter and producer Aziz Maraka ???? ???? has become a household name in the Middle East, gathering a staggering following in the region through his emotive and powerful songs and performances. Aziz started playing the piano at a very young age, later going on to study music composition, writing his first hit song, "Bent El Nas" as part of his senior graduation project.
His trademark sound ‘Razz’ combines Arabic music influences and singing in his native Jordanian accent, where he takes the energy from rock, pop and indie, smoothing it out with touches of jazz. Many of his songs have now hit several million views on Youtube, especially with hits such as ‘Mafi Mennik’ and ‘Ya Bay’, which have expanded to become anthemic tracks for the current generation.
SABRINE JENHANI
Support on the night comes from the Tunisian singer, songwriter and composer Sabrine Jenhani. Formerly part of the Tunisian duo Ÿuma, Sabrine’s stunning vocals and compassionate renditions have ensured that her name remains on the scene. For this show she will be performing as a duo with Tunisian guitarist Ghassen Fendri.
This event has been made possible with support from Al Araby TV.
