Two brisk guided walks, morning and afternoon, will visit some 40 of the City of London's historic medieval, Wren, Georgian and post-war churches and church towers, to raise money for the Friends of the City Churches' Melba Coombs Memorial Fund. Melba founded the Friends' church-watching scheme, whose volunteers now help to keep some 20 City churches open to visitors and worshippers every week.

Morning: brisk walk with short stops at St Michael Paternoster Royal, St James Garlickhythe, St Mary Somerset (tower), St Nicholas Cole Abbey, St Benet Paul’s Wharf (Welsh Church), St Andrew by the Wardrobe, St Bride’s Fleet Street, St Martin Ludgate, St Sepulchre, St Bartholomew the Less, St Bartholomew the Great, St Botolph Aldersgate, Christ Church Newgate (tower), St Vedast, St Anne and St Agnes, St Lawrence Jewry, St Mary le Bow, St Mary Aldermary, St Stephen Walbrook, St Mary Woolnoth, St Mary Abchurch.

Afternoon: brisk walk with short stops at St Clement Eastcheap, St Edmund King and Martyr, St Michael Cornhill, St Peter Cornhill, St Margaret Lothbury, The Dutch Church, All Hallows London Wall, St Botolph Bishopsgate, St Ethelburga, St Helen’s Bishopsgate, St Andrew Undershaft, St Katharine Cree, St Olave Hart Street, All Hallows by the Tower, St Dunstan in the East (tower), St Margaret Pattens, St Mary at Hill, St Magnus the Martyr, St Mary Abchurch.

The walks will take in a few more of the City's ten freestanding church towers (remnants of churches lost to wartime bombing and demolition) as time allows.

A more leisurely walk will also be offered, morning and afternoon, for those who wish to see fewer churches at a gentler pace.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be offered at St Mary Abchurch before each walk; please feel free to bring a packed lunch to eat at St Mary Abchurch around 13:00. There are also now a number of supermarkets and fast food outlets open in the City on Saturday.

£10 per person flat rate, for either or both walks: start at 11:00 and do both walks for the price of one!
