Come and discover Blaunfränkisch, the most widespread indigenous black grape variety of Central & Eastern Europe. With the Danube river flowing through 10 countries, more than any other river in the world, the Blaufränkish grape is planted all along it. Dark-skinned in colour it is a late-ripening variety which produces red wines that are typically rich in tannin and pronounced spicy characters, BUT it also has similar characteristics to the Nebbiolos of Piedmont, with their grace and elegance. So join us to taste over 150 different Blaufränkisch wines from 44 producers representing 7 countries. The largest Blaufränkisch tasting ever hosted in the UK!
