Unamplifire is The Nest Collective’s one day festival celebrating roots and folk music, with unamplified performances running non-stop across different stages.

This November we return to the wonderful St Mark’s Church in Dalston. Wander from room to room in these beautiful church halls with music happening all around you.

At the Nest Collective, we have always felt that the experience at our shows where there are no microphones has been the most intimate and special, so we decided to create an entire festival around this. No amplification, no sound checks, no waiting for bands to plug in; just pure continuous music over multiple areas & stages.

Wine, craft beer and cider (please do not Bring Your Own). Delicious freshly-prepared food.

Lineup includes:

Peggy Seeger and Calum MacColl – Iconic folk singer, songmaker and activist… the undisputed queen of folk and political song

Ana Silvera – Beguiling singer-songwriter with stunning, magical storytelling

Hannah Read – Versatile fiddle player, songwriter and composer widely recognised on the international stage

Dan Owen – Honest and soulful, songs built for being howled back in festival fields

Baque Luar – Roof-raising, all female Afro-Brazilian vocal and percussion collective

Patch & the Giant – Dynamic indie-folk quintet, a genuine force in the UK alt-folk scene

Aga Ujma – A thoughtful and talented composer inspired by the connections between Polish, English, and Indonesian folk music

Flo Perlin – Brilliant singer-songwriter with Iraqi and Belarusian heritage

Trú – Northern Irish trio with an eclectic heritage and amazing choral harmonies

Burd Ellen – The darker side of Scottish traditional song from mother, rager and sumptuously gifted folk singer Debbie Armour
