The Museum of Youth Culture announces a 3-day pop-up exhibition celebrating the styles, scenes and sounds innovated by everyday people over the last 70 years.
Celebrating the launch of a year-long public call out and following the success of a recent Kickstarter campaign, the Museum of Youth Culture’s inaugural exhibition, Grown Up In Britain, launches on Thursday 14th November. The Weekender takes over the ground floor and garage of a Victorian warehouse space in London Bridge, incorporating an exhibition of photographic prints, flyers, digital and analogue projections supported by a banging sound system, scooters, and vintage motorcycles surrounded by iconic youth culture ephemera.
From first loves to teenage angst, this immersive exhibition and programme of events invites you to explore previously unseen public submissions and bring in your own youth culture memories to be included in the Museum of Youth Culture.
Let’s celebrate our collective history!
