‘Pigeons of London’ - an art exhibition with a twist by Alice Tams comes to Carnaby Street this December.

Come and see revered British icons, from Amy Winehouse to the Queen, from David Bowie to Shakespeare, immortalised in paint as that classic London resident, the common pigeon.

Alice Tams is an illustrator and artist who has specialised in birds for many years and felt there was no better way to champion Britain’s great legacy of famous characters than to turn them into her favourite bird. Visitors will be able to see original art and purchase affordable Christmas gifts and souvenirs direct from the artist throughout December.

The exhibition will feature 20 original works of art, painted exclusively for the event, plus a plethora of Christmas gifts on sale, from affordable art prints to magnets and Christmas tree decorations, all adorned with Alice’s famous pigeons. The artist will be in residence each week taking part in a number of interactive events. These include a live large-scale painting of a crowd of ‘London Pigeons’ where members of the public will be able to vote on who is included and even a ‘Pigeon Portrait’ service - sit with Alice and have her paint your portrait...
as a pigeon!
