Jeff Rodrigues Trio Play Monk and Henderson

The Jeff Rodrigues Trio present an evening exploring the music of Thelonious Monk – considered to be the father of Modern Jazz – and Joe Henderson, one of the most revered instrumentalists in the history of jazz.

The Jeff Rodrigues Trio pay tribute to two giants from different generations and contrasting styles, but whose compositions both share a common musical aesthetic – coupled with a gift for crafting an enduring melody.

The compositions of Thelonious Monk have never ceased to be held in the highest regard in the Jazz world. He inspired virtually every musician that was his contemporary, as well as disciples who emerged as the next generation of legends – one of these being the eminent saxophonist, Joe Henderson.
