London’s Most Ambitious Interactive Pop-Up Art Exhibition to Launch in Dalston on December 14th

The Wonder Factory features 15 Instagram-worthy rooms for Londoners to explore and capture once-in-a-lifetime photographs

Dalston, London – December 6, 2019

Willy Wonka, step aside.

The Wonder Factory, London’s most ambitious pop-up interactive art exhibition featuring 15 uniquely decorated rooms, will open to the public on Saturday, December 14th in Dalston.

Located in a 6,000-square-foot commercial space at Unit B, Dalston Works, E8 2FQ, the trendy, Instagram-friendly art exhibition will include:
• a 250 square foot marshmallow swimming pool
• an outer space themed mirror room with over 2000 colour changing lights which create the illusion of an infinite star field
• working pink telephone boxes that visitors can use to call one another
• an indoor beach featuring pastel-colored beach huts and candy pink sand
• an orchard of blossom trees bearing coloured macaroons as their fruit
• a 3 meter wall of capacitive touch LED lamps visitors can create their own works of art on
• a brightly coloured confetti cyclone room
• a corridor filled with balloons levitating on streams of air, and much more.
“The Wonder Factory is an Instagram user’s paradise,” said British entrepreneur and Founder Mark Johnson, who, in creating the exhibition, is turning his longtime vision into a reality. “I would encourage art enthusiasts, Instagrammers and everybody else across London to come down to the factory and experience a unique splash of colour this December. This is a great opportunity for visitors to experience this truly unique art display firsthand, and of course to take exceptional photographs of themselves and their friends.”

The Wonder Factory is coming to London just as the art industry is undergoing a major fundamental shift. Consumers are increasingly favoring the idea of attending interactive art exhibitions that cultivate memorable experiences. At the forefront of this change, The Wonder Factory is helping to drive London’s art scene forward.

A similar industry shift is also taking place in the U.S., where a few interactive art exhibitions, including The Museum of Ice Cream, The Color Factory and 29Rooms, have experienced massive success. The Wonder Factory aims to bring that to the UK.

“We are sure that Londoners are going to love The Wonder Factory,” continued Johnson. “This is the first time that anyone in the city has made such an ambitious attempt to reimagine the pop-ups that have been so successful in the U.S., and we’re excited to be the one to bring this unique experience to the residents of London.”
