Lecture Series with baritone Ricardo Panela.

In this series of 3 lectures focusing on the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods, baritone Ricardo Panela will talk about the incursions of mainly operatic composers into Sacred territory.
Sometimes written as Conservatoire graduation works, sometimes composed because Opera was forbidden, sometimes crafted because of their own devotion, opera composers have always been fascinated by the dramatic potential of Religious texts and stories even if the results weren’t always.... even.

Opera Prelude is a small charity passionate about supporting young professional opera singers who give recitals in London. These friendly and inclusive events will introduce you to the international opera singers of tomorrow by way of recitals, concerts and masterclasses.
