Discovery’s Independent Venue Week showcase features Indie Dream pop from Mount Forel, Indie folk singer MARK SHEPHERD, Norwegian alternative pop, electronic singer-songwriter SOLPSICHE aka Live Sollid and Alt rock band OFF THE PLOT.

MOUNT FOREL
Mount Forel are a heady mixture of CAN, Dinosaur Junior, War On Drugs, Districts - all sorts of stuff really. They're from the US, Japan, New Zealand & the Wirral, but based in London and there's a great album from the band coming soon.

Mount Forel, whose latest single ‘Witney’ won the listeners’ vote on the Amazing Radio Audition show and is picking up support on Radio X’s John Kennedy/Xposure show. The band perform unique experiential gigs, which include having the audience paint while they perform, plus other concepts involving blindfolds and more

"Mount Forel's Witney - a classic for our time" - GigSlutz

“Sounding really really great . . . looking forward to hearing more from this band” – John Kennedy / Radio X

MARK SHEPHERD
Cambridge singer-songwriter Mark Shepherd plays his original brand of thought provoking Acoustic rock/Indie-Folk/Americana at festivals and venues across the UK and USA. His strong, distinctive vocal is complimented by powerful and melodic acoustic guitar and his songs often explore the darker side of life and the world in general. Mark and his music are sure to stay with you long after you finish listening.

"Short Sharp Shots of Rock - Steven Reid"

"Absolutely awesome" Tom Simkins BBC Introducing

SOLPSICHE
Live Sollid is the mind behind the name Solpsiche. She is one of the pioneers of progressive electronic music in the Oslo underground scene and has proven herself to be an unstoppable creative force in the fields between electronic and vocal experimentation. Coupled with a strong sense of rhythmic energy and harmonic drive, her music is as hypnotic as it is energizing.

OFF THE PLOT

"Off The Plot’s music has many different influences from Modern Rock, Hard Rock and even Jazz chords. Their music takes you through a journey of experimentation and familiarity. The strongest influences they have with their music would be Royal Blood, Bleeker and Cleopatrick. The band Consists of Charles Gray (vocalist), Alex Sabine (guitarist) and The newest member Zak Conquest (drummer).
