From its inception, the Internet has been shaping power relations, personally, politically and globally. Some of this comes from how interaction takes place online, but also in how online spaces have been built and, crucially, who has built them.
This evening of discussion and online art will pull apart the biases woven into our everyday use of the internet and look at how we might begin to construct a space where power is distributed more evenly. Featuring Judy Taing, Head of Gender at ARTICLE 19, Miranda Marcus, Researcher and Producer at the Open Data Institute and more speakers and artists to be announced.
