Supporting Croydon communities…

Organised by local Labour Party supporters, proceeds from the event will be donated to support Patsy Cummings' campaign to serve the communities of Croydon and Sutton at the London Assembly

Patsy has a twenty-year track record delivering for all communities with the voluntary and charity sector, including with Citizens UK, Croydon Assembly and Labour Against Racism and Fascism. Now as a councillor, she continues to stand for a fairer, more democratic and just society. Patsy notably was a community organiser leader with Citizen’s UK on the original London Living Wage campaign in 2001, worked with young people across London during the spike of youth violence in 2007 and has more recently campaigned with others to demand justice for victims of the Windrush scandal. She stands well respected as part of a borough and London wide team working with young people, community groups and institutions to tackle the rise in youth violence in a holistic way.

Patsy Cummings has said: “I hope to bring my grassroots community organising experience to City Hall to fight for equality, fairness and justice for London communities. This includes better and cheaper housing and transport, a greener environment and ensuring the safety of young people on our streets."
