This festive season Broadgate, London’s largest pedestrianised neighbourhood, is delighted to be supporting its local community with the launch of the Christmas ‘Giving’ Tree.

Located in Finsbury Avenue Square, there will be a contactless donation box, where visitors can donate to St. Hilda’s East, a local community organisation providing services and opportunities for those experiencing social isolation and economic disadvantage.

The 40ft Christmas Giving Tree is adorned with warm white lights and will display a vibrant, rainbow-coloured light show every seven minutes for 60 seconds, in a display of appreciation for NHS workers. After a challenging year, the Christmas Giving Tree will offer a touch of festive cheer and a perfect photo moment, for locals and visitors to Broadgate.

Based in the East London borough of Tower Hamlets, St Hilda’s East provides a wide range of life-changing programmes for local people of all ages including pre-school activities and youth projects, support for older people, free Legal Advice, volunteering and training placements. St Hilda’s East aims to promote understanding between all sections of the community, offering a setting for multicultural, interfaith and intergenerational exchange.

A hub for food, retail and culture in the heart of the City, Broadgate is a 32-acre central London neighbourhood boasting a diverse community connecting innovation and finance. Dedicated to supporting its local community, Broadgate is proud to be raising money for St. Hilda’s East this Christmas.
