Mother’s Day is almost here and Britain’s mums have gone above and beyond this year. From the pressures of lockdowns and financial anxieties, to the unpaid responsibilities of housework and home-schooling, parents have had a lot to contend with.

That's why - ahead of Mother’s Day - Red Letter Days have teamed up with family support charity Family Action to shine a spotlight on this ‘mumpaid labour’. We're thanking mums, parents and carers for all their hard work this year, and encouraging them to take back some time for themselves.

We're hosting an unforgettable day of free, fun and feel-good virtual classes and workshops on Saturday 13th March (and we’re even hosting activities to keep the little ones busy, too). We'd love to see you there!

We want to make it as easy as possible for mums, parents and carers across the UK to enjoy some well-deserved time to themselves this Mother's Day.

Register now to secure your free space and do something for you. You deserve it! Click 'details' above (or see below)to see the free activities you can sign-up for!

During this relaxing class for beginners, @taraleeyoga will share mindfulness tips and breathing techniques for stress reduction, before leading a guided yoga Nidra practice for intense calm. This session is designed to help mums wind down and let it all go, taking you into Mother's Day feeling your best.

To raise awareness of the 'mumpaid labour' mums, parents and carers in the UK have taken on this year, Red Letter Days and Family Action are also calling on the nation to help us claim back 100,000 hours of Mumpaid Labour for our hard-working mums before Mother’s Day on Sunday 14th March.

To take part, pledge your time via our online counter (here). You can commit what time you can to help rebalance the load in your home or community. Or, if you’re a Mum, you can pledge to take time back for yourself. When you sign up to one of our free events, don't forget to head to our counter to pledge the time and help us reach our target of 100,000 hours!

Share your pledge on social media and tell us how you’re planning to claim back or pay back Mumpaid Labour over the coming weeks!
