Van Morrison is one of the world’s most celebrated and inspirational singer/songwriters; his legacy transcends generations. Rising to fame in the early 60s as the lead singer of Irish R&B/rock band Them, Morrison became a runaway success with timeless classics including Gloria and Here Comes The Night. He would later establish himself as a wildly successful solo artist, moving towards more experimental terrain releasing era-defining albums ‘Astral Winds’, ‘Moondance’ and ‘Tupelo Honey’. Ever prolific, the world-wide legend that is Van Morrison continues to record new material.

James Blunt
7 July

The five-time Grammy nominated and multiple BRIT award winning artist, James Blunt, is no stranger to festival spotlight and will wow the crowds at Kew the Music in July 2021. After numerous successes since his debut ‘Back to Bedlam’ in 2004 (the record that brought us You’re Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover), James returned in October 2019 with ‘Once Upon A Mind’. The record has a warmth that permeates its entirety, and a real sense of personality. Well known for his wit and charm, James has sold over 23 million albums and is a definite must-see live.

DJ Spoony
8 July

The popularity of garage has remained consistent since its inception over 20 years ago, when it swept across the airwaves, clubs, charts and streets of Britain. DJ Spoony is at the forefront of the genre inspiring a new generation of garage artists. This godfather of garage is heading to the capital in 2021. The show is packed full of re-imagined classics such as Flowers, 21 Seconds and Sweet Like Chocolate, and it features sampled vocals from iconic artists such as Sugababes, Paloma Faith, Lily Allen, Emeli Sandé, Raleigh Ritchie and many more. DJ Spoony will bring music fans a high-energy, hi-octane show and a re-ignited passion for garage, but with a classical twist…

Will Young and James Morrison
9 July

Having released the infectious summer anthem My Love from his latest album ‘Lexicon’, Will Young is back stronger than ever. With an impressive résumé including the biggest single of the noughties with Anything is Possible/Evergreen, two BRIT awards, and four No. 1 albums, homegrown favourite Will Young is a seasoned pop star worth watching. Boasting a devoted following, 7 million album sales, and a BRIT award, James Morrison will be co-headlining Kew the Music’s Friday night slot. His five Top 10 singles all rank among the biggest of their era, including the breakthrough smashes You Give Me Something and Wonderful World. His latest single So Beautiful has already amassed more than eleven million listens on Spotify.

Bananarama - Supported by Gabrielle and Rebecca Ferguson
10 July

Headliner Bananarama will be joined by legendary vocalist Gabrielle and X-Factor alumni Rebecca Ferguson for an ultimate summer night out. With over 30 million copies sold worldwide, multiple BRIT-Award nominations, and a Guiness World Record for the most chart entries by a female group (they have 32 Top 40 UK hits), Bananarama are an era-defining group whose legacy and influence continues to endure.
