Through the things we buy and the ways we live, everyone has a social and environmental impact. This event explores that impact and the actions individuals and communities can take to have positive effects in tackling climate change and social injustices. As well as sharing ideas, knowledge and practical tips for sustainable living, we will ask what is the balance between individual and community responses and wider actions needed by governments and businesses to change systems?

Hear from live panellists:
Jack Barrie – Circular Economy Policy Analyst, Zero Waste Scotland
Kareena Birla – Social and Climate Activist
Alice Farrell – Policy Advisor, Behavioural Insights Team
Angela Terry – Founder, One Home: Positive Solutions

This event is part of the Together for a Fair Climate Future discussion series that Sustainability First is holding in the run-up to the COP26 Climate Conference this November. The series of six open events will explore how action for the climate crisis and social justice can come together as we recover from the pandemic in a way that's fair, innovative, and positive for the environment. We will hear from artists, activists, academics, policymakers, companies, community organisations, and others.

Through six engaging events, we hope to develop positive, imaginative visions for social, environmental, and economic wellbeing and identify practical actions for change.

Together, we can work towards a #FairClimateFuture

Thank you to National Grid for sponsoring this event series.
