Candy Concrete is a collaborative project between Richmond-based artists Gary Scholes and Ali Clarke, bringing together their fascination with brutal, industrial concrete structures and the concept of landscape.
Gary Scholes and Ali Clarke enjoy the contrast between heavy, stark forms – the architecture of bunkers, power stations, railway sidings and fresh, seductive, ice cream colours. Alongside examples of their own distinct artwork, will be collaborative pieces produced especially for One Paved Court.
The exhibition includes an Artists’ Talk on Sat. 12 June at 11am. Free event via Zoom. Check gallery website for link.

Ali Clarke is a London-based artist who works in mixed media sculpture and installation. She holds an MA in Public Art – Theory and Practice at Chelsea College of Art and Design.
Gary Scholes has a BA Hons in Fine Art- Printmaking from
Maidstone College of Art
