Live from London Summer

Live from Haarlem: Northern Lights - Get ready for a real International Choral Biennale out-of-the-box programme! We’re proud to present a unique set from Sønderborg with the cult Danish band Efterklang and the choir with whom they’ve recently begun a three-year collaboration, the South Denmark Girls Choir (Sønderjysk Pigekor) conducted by Mette Rasmussen. Efterklang is based in Lisbon and Copenhagen and consists of 3 childhood friends Mads Brauer, Casper Clausen & Rasmus Stolberg. They headline indie-classical, crossover festivals and sell out the world’s prestigious concert halls (Sydney Opera House, Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie). This concert is a set from their hometown in Southern Denmark, with this excellent girls choir as part of a three-year expanded residence. We’ll hear the choir in its own a cappella repertoire as well as new arrangements with the band. Efterklang is signed to British label 4AD and released their 5th album ‘Altid Sammen‘ in September 2019.
