Introduce your children to the wonderful world of analogue photography in this family workshop with photographer Dan Fontanelli.
Have fun exploring photography as a family by learning how to make new images from cutting and piecing together negatives. You’ll learn how to use your negatives to create images on cyanotypes; a blue and white photography print that uses special paper and the power of the sun to create lasting photographs. You’ll also try turning your cyanotypes into black and white images and then get to hand-colour them!
This activity is suitable for ages 7–12. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Part of our Family Festival: Inside Out
Come along and join in our week-long of creative activities exploring our relationship with nature! Get creative, take part in workshops for families of different ages where you can explore creatures of the future, photography, music, storytelling and much more!
Keeping everyone safe
We are regularly keeping up to date with government guidelines and will contact all ticket holders before the event with our COVID-safety measures. We are currently asking visitors to wear a mask at all times (unless you have proof of exemption) and visit in household groups or bubbles. For children taking part in this workshop, aged under 11, masks are optional.
