Join artist Bedwyr Williams on the closing weekend of MILQUETOAST for a very special afternoon which features an architecture competition devised by the artist, presenting you with a once in a lifetime opportunity:
“Imagine that while on holiday you save the life of the brattish child of a world-famous architect who has fallen into the hotel pool. The architect (known for designing museums, opera houses and galleries) is very wealthy and is so grateful that he offers to build a new museum of your choice, designed by you. His profile means that you can pretty much get any design built, anywhere - your neighbourhood or beyond”.

Bedwyr Williams’ Second Jab: Architecture Competition invites you to create a model of this exciting new building.

Entry to the competition is free and is open to all budding architects.
Register to be an architect for the day on Southwark Park Galleries website

You can use any materials you’d like but please ensure there are no hazardous elements or toxic materials in your design - the wealthy architect making your building is a stickler for health and safety. Your model must also not exceed a 60cm x 60cm footprint.

Bedwyr wants to know:
• What is your museum a museum of?
(It could be a museum of hair, magnifying glasses or tracky bottoms)
• Where is it located?
• What is its name?

On Saturday 10 July all architects are to please bring their models to Dilston Gallery, SE16 2DD at 2pm for the judging process. Your museums will create a bustling Cultural Quarter, where Judge Bedwyr will award a prize of a £50 Cass Art Voucher and a MILQUETOAST bundle at 3pm.
