Game, Set, Match - Free Wimbledon screenings return to Mayfair

This summer, visitors to Mayfair can enjoy the Wimbledon Championships with the highly anticipated return of the free sport screenings in Brown Hart Gardens and Grosvenor Square.

From the 28 June to 11 July, locals, shoppers and lunchtime-dwellers are invited to pull up a deck chair and watch the world’s best tennis from the hallowed lawns of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, in the heart of Mayfair. With 550 seats available in Brown Hart Gardens and Grosvenor Square, the screenings are free to enjoy, showing all of the on court action from 11am until 8pm every day of the tournament.

Whether visitors are meeting up with friends or looking a place to sit back after a day of activities, the Wimbledon screenings are a great place to enjoy the games and relax in the sun with a picnic and an ice cool summer beverage from one of the many nearby cafes and restaurants. With pop-ups from Comptoir Café & Wine and Brooks Mews Wine Bar in Grosvenor Square and amazing takeaway offers from across Mayfair including The Mayfair Chippy, Mercato Mayfair and Plants by Deliciously Ella.

A picturesque suntrap, Brown Hart Gardens is peaceful spot away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Oxford Street and an excellent place to recharge and enjoy the tennis after a day of shopping. Grosvenor Square is another tranquil spot surrounded by incredible architecture and home to Morag Myerscough’s art installation See Through which forms part of the Mayfair and Belgravia Wander Art Trail. This spacious, open-air square is the perfect place to watch the tennis on the big screen undisturbed.
