This summer, Paddington Central, the vibrant London neighbourhood nestled between the Grand Union Canal and Paddington Station, is hosting a series of free musical performances for those who live near, work at or visit the area. Running now until 16th September, the performances offer a platform for some of the most celebrated musicians and composers and offers a much needed boost to the music industry following the effects of the pandemic. Taking place in Paddington Central’s grand amphitheatre every Thursday lunchtime from 1-2pm, the performances bring a diverse selection of artists that cover an eclectic range of
styles and genres from all corners of the world. Artists include Bill Lovelady, an incredibly talented musician best known for his song ‘One More Reggae for the Road’ who will be playing alongside SOL Collective covering songs from all eras on 26th August, Eliane Correa, a Latina pianist and composer on 2nd September and Da Lata, a group who play a high
energy mix of bossa and samba from Brazil, mixed with a London soul and jazz vibe. The series will end on 16th September with Samba Azul, a rhythm-centric jazz outfit led by drummer Adam Osmianski. Those enjoying the music series can also benefit from Paddington Central’s array of food
and drink opportunities including many restaurants with canal side dining such as seafood barge The Grand Duchess or all day dining spot The Union Bar. For those who are busy and need to head back to work, grab and go options include Lords of Poke and healthy food favourite, Pure.
