Covid 19 Information
For the moment we are keeping our venue capacities lower than pre-pandemic levels. We will continue to monitor the situation in coming weeks. Changes to the audience size will be made incrementally, consistent with efforts to keep our audiences and teams feeling safe.
We are not requiring guests to show an NHS Covid Pass, but we would ask customers not enter our venues if they are experiencing any of the Covid-19 symptoms.
PizzaExpress Live will no longer require customers to wear face coverings in our venues, though many people will continue to feel more comfortable wearing their masks when not seated at their tables. You should have the option of being served by a team member wearing a face covering.
We will continue to maintain the increased frequency of cleaning in our venues. We’re cleaning more often throughout the day and, as you would expect, frequent touchpoints (door handles, tables etc) and toilets are our top priority. Sanitation stations will remain in place and we encourage customers to make use of these.

Virtuoso electric bass player Shez Raja is famed for his high energy live shows, unique Indojazzfunk sound and global jazz star collaborations with Mike Stern, Randy Brecker, Trilok Gurtu and Wayne Krantz. Shez was recently voted one of the ‘Hottest Bass Players in the World’ by readers of Bass Player magazine. Following spectacular performances at top UK venues including Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Royal Festival Hall and the Jazz Café as well as major international jazz festivals from Russia to New Zealand, Shez and his band have amassed a devoted following and forged a reputation as one of the most entertaining live acts on the scene today.

For his latest album Tales from the Punjab, Shez digs deep into his rich South Asian heritage to create his most exquisite and heartfelt album to date, recorded whilst on an adventure to the Punjab to immerse himself in the musical culture of his roots.

Shez will be recreating the colours and sounds from the new album as well as performing favourites from his considerable back catalogue. He leads a stunning line-up tonight that features internationally renowned saxophone star Tony Kofi (Courtney Pine, Ornette Coleman), award-winning Indian classical singer Japjit Kaur, tabla maestro Kuljit Bhamra plus the incredible Sophie Alloway on drums and Tomasz Bura on keyboards.

Expect exciting and passionate music that blends East with West – a sonic kaleidoscope of euphoric jazz, thundering funk, ancient ragas and intoxicating grooves.
