The Coveryard is one of London's most unusual ensembles: a nine-piece collective of composers and musicians who create unique live music shows inspired by beloved pop repertoires. And now, after two long years away, they're finally back with ANGELS IN THE ARCHITECTURE: an all-new concert programme exploring the extraordinary catalogue of one of popular music’s most influential songwriters (and his frizzy-haired frenemy).
Performing rearranged, reconstructed and reimagined versions of iconic songs from Simon and Garfunkel’s early folk days through to the many highlights of Paul Simon’s eclectic solo career, the nine-piece composer-performer collective will have you feelin’ groovy until late in the evening!
As with their wildly successful Smiths and Fleetwood Mac nights, and their legendary Karolaoke events, you should expect the unexpected — from disco and deep house to chamber pop and madrigals, we guarantee this will be Simon (and Garfunkel) as you’ve never heard it before. After all, there must be 50 ways to play a cover...
So call up your old friends and long-lost pals, settle any decades-long feuds you may have, and instead get your early bird tickets to Angels in the Architecture. We have reason to believe that you’ll all have a good time!
