Art and Plants Show in Shoreditch – The Alternative Chelsea Flower Show

Art Friend presents ‘LeAF’, a pop-up art gallery at BOXPARK selling affordable art and plants that’s inclusive AF

Do you like art and plants and friends but hate stuffy gallery vibes, art world jargon and admission fees? Art Friend is here to shake up the art world and show that art is for everyone with their debut show, leAF, coming to unit 15 in BOXPARK from 24 to 29 May 2022.

Twenty-one artists will show their incredible printed and original artworks – all inspired by plants – in a space populated by over 100 affordable plants. Artists include local hero Real Hackney Dave, Drag Race superstar Charity Kase and cyanotypes extraordinaire Craig Keenan. It’s more fun than the Chelsea Flower Show (and bonus: it’s not in Chelsea).

All the art and plants are for sale: prices start at £50 for the art and £5 for the plants. The show is sponsored by Bombay Bramble and E1 Brew Co, so there will be some free delicious boozy drinks served most evenings.

There will always be someone in the gallery to welcome you, so come alone, come with friends, and come support some local art.
