Come to a free festival of history taking place in Bloomsbury, celebrating 100 years of the Institute of Historical Research (IHR).

You can take part in mini-events and workshops, networking and social spaces, and meet history-related organisations from across the country.

Come along and meet historians, discover resources and projects, and join the conversation about the next hundred years of history – and beyond.

There are tours of the University of London’s Senate House as film venue, or take a tour of the IHR’s Wohl Library, a collection designated of national importance.

You can drop by the Future History Beetle Drive and use our clever game grid to write your own history of the 15 July 2122 or learn how to make your own Zine about your vision for the future of history.

The afternoon ends with a panel discussion starting at 6pm with leading historians including, Dr Janina Ramirez, Professor Michael Wood, Professor Olivette Otele, Professor Rana Mitter, Professor Emma Griffin, Melanie Jones and Dr Valerie Johnson on ‘The Future of History’ .

Registration is required for the evening panel discussion.
