Thrive Festival

Thrive festival is a unique music and arts festival for people with complex disabilities.

The disability charity, Sense, behind ‘Thrive’ festival, have worked with disabled people and those with complex needs to create an accessible festival; putting them at the heart of the design.

More than 60 disabled people from local community projects, supported by volunteers, will attend Thrive festival on Saturday 3rd September at Calthorpe Community Garden.

This year’s event will offer music, activities, workshops, performances, food and drink with a theme of 'Shine Bright'.

Thrive is a place where people can be free, ultimately following their own schedule in a safe and creative environment, which allows for self-expression, organic connections, and that all-important magic!

Using equipment that allows people to feel the music through vibrations, tactile signage around the festival to include colourful braille and audio descriptions, and sensory ‘space pods’, music and creative activities – Thrive will support all parts of the community to be included in the festival experience.
