Morden Hall Park is a green open space in the middle of a busy city where different communities and cultures share the love for nature and the outdoors. This Autumn, through a series of storytelling events, we celebrate the cultural diversity at the park’s doorstep, with different communities invited to share their own tales, cultures, myths, legends and connection to the world around us.
These morning storytelling sessions will explore nature-themed books, and children will have fun while learning about the outdoors and environment in the spirit of one big community sharing space, time and stories together.
On Saturday 7th October, join Michelle for an author-led session where children will be introduced to the story of Mami Wata, an African water deity who inspires us to connect to our elemental and environmental surroundings, in particular our much-loved river.
Magic is the game. Storytelling is the name. Nature brings its fame. Morden Hall Park holds the frame.
Suitable for 3-6 year olds. Sessions: 10.00am- 11.00am & 11.30am - 12.30pm Limited places. Booking essential Price: £3 child
