The BFI London Film Festival is brimming with the world’s best new films, series and immersive storytelling - and everyone is invited. This is your chance to delight in the undiscovered, as all feature films and series are being shown in the UK for the first (and sometimes only) time.

Opening Night Gala:
Struggling to fit in at Oxford University, Oliver Quick finds himself drawn into the world of the charming and aristocratic Felix Catton, who invites him to Saltburn, his eccentric family’s sprawling estate, for a summer never to be forgotten. Oscar® winner Emerald Fennell set cinematic screens alight with her US-set feature debut A Promising Young Woman. For her hotly anticipated sophomore film, the director returns to the UK and sharpens her gaze on the opposite sex for this thrilling tale of an intellectually brilliant student navigating a new and precarious world.

Closing Night Gala
The Kitchen
In a near-future London, Izi, a hardworking loner, is counting down the days until he can leave The Kitchen, the estate he grew up on, and move to one of the sleek luxury penthouses that are popping up all over London. But when he discovers through his job at an ecological funeral home that his ex-girlfriend has passed away, Izi finds his path colliding with that of Benji, her young son. Meanwhile, the residents of The Kitchen – the last remaining untouched social housing in the city and a hub for bustling community – fight back against those trying to destroy it. When Benji comes to The Kitchen in search of his father, Izi is forced to step out of his isolation and become a de facto guardian. But is his bond with Benji actually stronger than he wants to admit?

The Mayor of London’s Gala
Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget
Having achieved their ‘happy ever after’ following their break-out from the Tweedys’ farm, Ginger, Rocky and their friends have settled on a Chicktopian island, existing in blissful harmony. Ginger and Rocky’s daughter, Molly, has her mother’s spirit – she longs for adventure and a peek at the world outside. The sight of regular vehicles travelling to a nearby chicken funland is too much for her to resist and, to the islanders’ despair, she sneaks away to check it out, completely unaware of the dangers that await her. With more than a passing nod to the Bond films, British stop-motion giant Aardman Studios have created a fun, exciting sequel that’s guaranteed to appeal to existing fans while opening the doors to a new generation. It’s the best hen party in town!
