For hairy but not too scary Halloween fun, families can trick-or-treat themselves to a trip to London Zoo this October half-term - for Boo at the Zoo.

Little monsters can creep along to the Halloween hub, located in the conservation zoo’s secret wildlife garden, where they can get stuck into frightfully fun Halloween activities.

Celebrate International Bat Week with a hair-raising Bat Talk or make a spook-tacular bat mask at the arts and crafts station, before coming face-to-face with Endangered Rodrigues fruit bats, also known as 'flying foxes', in the zoo’s immersive Rainforest Life - London’s only living rainforest.

Venture under the waves for Scuba Sam and the Spooky Squid, an enchanting UV puppet show about the weird and wonderful creatures of the deep sea and why - despite their frightening looks - we must strive to protect them.

Human school may be out for the week, but at Ghoul School curious young minds can learn from ZSL’s world-leading conservation scientists, asking burning wildlife questions and throwing spell-binding conservation pledges into the witches’ cauldron.

Journey through the Animal Extinction Graveyard, where families can take an interactive quiz to learn how the Dodo, Quagga and Siberian Unicorn were driven to extinction - and how to ensure Sumatran tigers, Western lowland gorillas and other threatened species don’t go the same way.

Elsewhere, step into the eight-legged world of In with the Spiders, where giant webs will surround the most fearless of folk - or come face-to-face with the ‘ghosts of Madagascar’ at In with the Lemurs – which are so-named because of their wide-eyed stare and loud after-dark calls.

Add fearsome face painting*, monstrous marshmallow toasting* and petrifying pumpkin painting*, as well as over 14,000 incredible animals, and it’ll be treats all round at London Zoo this October half-term. Under 3s go free, so book your tickets today at www.londonzoo.org
