Launching 22 November, Cowcross Yards will host London’s first-ever graffiti Christmas tree in celebration of the festive season.

With the help of Cowcross Yards resident artist, the Graffiti Kings, visitors are invited down to Cowcross Yards on 22 November, to work on the community led art project. Participants will be able paint festive designs on the 4m tall tree. The finished collaborative artwork, with be situated in Cowcross Yards until the end of December.

To promote sustainable choices at Christmas time, Cowcross Yards’ Christmas tree will be made of recycled crates, which will be given a festive makeover by the public. Over the festive period, Brits waste an average of 125,000 tonnes of plastic*, and the Cowcross tree will raise awareness of how to creatively reduce plastic consumption this year.

For those interested in creating their own sustainable Christmas décor, Cowcross Yards is holding an eco-friendly Christmas cracker-making class on 6 December. From 12:30 pm, visitors can upcycle paper into their own crackers, to take away to enjoy on Christmas day.

Throughout the Christmas season, the KERB at Cowcross Yards market will be onsite every Wednesday and Thursday from 11:30 am-2:30 pm, serving up the best in London street food.
