Robert Goerl co-founded DAF - Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft. DAF changed the face of modern German music and created a new genre, Electronic Body Music. He recorded a solo album for Daniel Miller's Mute Records (which had issued a DAF album as STUMM1 - the first LP on the label), which featured Annie Lennox. With the unexpected and untimely death of singer Gabi Delgado, Goerl became the sole keeper of the DAF flame.
We are delighted to welcome Robert to London for a very special evening. Together with his co-author, Hanna Rollmann, Robert will be reading from his autobiography, The Voice That Dwells Within. The authors will be on-hand to sign copies of the book, which is an excellent and exciting account of the development of DAF and Robert's experiences in Germany, Thailand - and London. Don't miss this very intimate evening with one of electronic music's true pioneers.
