A new exhibition from LAIKA, co-presented by the BFI. Embark on a journey behind the scenes of LAIKA, one of the world’s foremost pioneers in stop-motion animation. This immersive new exhibition will transport you into the boundary-pushing art and science behind every one of the nearly one million meticulously constructed frames that bring LAIKA’s groundbreaking feature films to life. This narrative-rich experience honours the films' stories and the unparalleled level of detail in LAIKA’s physical puppets, intricately crafted sets, costumes and awe-inspiring props.

New scenic reproductions, built at a ‘human scale’, will transport you from the real world into Coraline’s Other Garden and offer a sneak peek into the magic and wonder of Wildwood, LAIKA’s forthcoming feature. LAIKA: Frame X Frame features never-seen-before artifacts from the studio’s vast production archives, spotlighting Coraline (2009), ParaNorman (2012), The Boxtrolls (2014), Kubo and the Two Strings (2016) and Missing Link (2019).
