The Brunswick is excited to announce that its hugely successful Doggie Day is coming back for a second year. The event will take place at the centre on Saturday 7 September between 12pm – 4.30pm and will be even more special this year.

The centre has arranged stunt dog shows featuring famous dogs from TV and film for the public to watch. Approximately 8 dogs from iconic films like Wonder Woman and Men in Black and well-known TV shows such as Doc Martin, Midsomer Murders and The Witcher will perform 3 x 20-minute shows during the day. The trainers of these famous dogs will be at the event and available to discuss how they prepare their dogs for these ‘acting’ roles. Visitors will also be able to get a photo with these doggy stars throughout the day.

The centre wants to find the dog with the waggiest tale, best paw shaker, best coat, most handsome, best trick and more. The centre’s undercover judges will be roaming the centre during the event to identify dogs they think are deserving of awards – those that stand out will be handed a rosette. Dogs (and their owners) lucky enough to receive a rosette will then be invited to the podium at 3.15pm on the day to collect their cash prize and to do a photoshoot. The centre is also arranging for free goodie doggie bags to be given out on the day for all participating dogs.

Dogs are encouraged to attend the event in their very best outfit. Best dressed dogs can then enter the centre’s fashion show competition with best dressed pooches able to win an incredible cash prize. The centre has also arranged for artists to be at the event all day to capture visitors’ dogs in their best light - drawings can then be taken home and enjoyed forever.

Multiple professional dog trainers will be roaming the Brunswick throughout the event to offer helpful tips and advice for dog owners. There will also be incredible demonstrations from a trainer at the podium for all to see. Once again, there will be a professional photographer at the event to capture a professional shot of dogs that visitors can then purchase.

The Brunswick has arranged for several pop-up shops at the centre to be selling doggie essentials including treats, food, collars, leads and more. There will be several incredible selfie opportunities in the centre for visitors to enjoy. If visitors upload an image of their pooch on the centre’s branded benches or within their branded Instagram boards to social media, they could win a cash prize!

If visiting dogs need a bit of a pamper, the centre has also arranged a pamper station where dogs can get a groom, nail clipping or massage. Tasty doggie treats will be given out around the centre plus there will be hydration stations.

The event is free to attend, and any charitable donations raised on the day will be given to Guide Dogs UK.
