For a sure-fire, riotous knees-up, head to Guanabara this New Year’s Eve. The unanimous feeling by all who grooved the night away into ’08, was that they got down at one of the best parties ever. For this reason, sizzling funk-samba-popsters Mandinga, plus the explosive London School of Samba return again for this year’s Reveillon, alongside resident DJs Mark Robertson, Limão and D.Vyzor, playing cutting edge Brazilian beats.

“If you are looking for a great party with the ever-unique Brazilian vibe and music to lose yourself in, Guanabara is definitely the place to spend this New Year’s Eve”, says Guanabara music manager Isabel Groves. “With two amazing live bands, a percussion show, plus our very best DJs, we’ll welcome 2009 in a summery style, so drop your coats at the cloakroom and get hot with us!”

Limao has DJd alongside Gilberto Gil, Seu Jorge, DJ Marky and Gilles Peterson. Watch out for his Latin bootlegs of The White Stripes and Gnarls Barkley (amongst others).

Plus, joining Guanabara on this special evening will be Brazilian producer/DJ D.Vyzor, who will mix his inimitable blend of all things Latin, electronic and black-music oriented.
