Once again the famous venue of the Royal Geographical Society
(RGS) will host the June 2012 London Map Fair.
This event brings together around 40 of the leading international
antiquarian map dealers as well as hundreds of visiting dealers,
collectors, curators and map aficionados from all parts of the world.
A large selection of Original Antique Maps will be for sale, ranging in age from the 15th C. to the 20th C., covering all parts of the world and priced to suit all pockets: from £10 to £100,000.
Exhibitors will also offer Atlases, Travel Books, Globes, Sea Charts, Town Plans, Topographical Prints, Reference Books and related ephemera.
Over the two days there will be a series of talks aimed at novice
collectors given by Ashley Baynton-Williams in the RGS Ondaatje
Theatre, (inside the RGS building)
The RGS building is conveniently located at the edge of Hyde Park, next to the Royal Albert Hall and close to the Victoria & Albert Museum, Harrods, Knightsbridge and the West End.
