Francesca Millican-Slater
The sea makes my heart lurch like seeing an old lover, makes my stomach contract like when meeting a new one.
In times of trouble I run to water, and I know I am not the only one. Our coasts are lined with wearied souls who seek answers in horizons, in waves and changing tides. So in order to get to know it, in order to really spend some time with it, I’m decided I would swim the channel.
Francesca asks why the sea flows through our sub-conscious, why she runs to the sea, why it soothes her soul, what legends lie beneath its waves.
Scratch allows artists to test ideas and get audience feedback. Come explore and be the first to discover the future of theatre.
