To celebrate The Queen’s 60 years reign, the heart of Shoreditch will be transformed into an all-encompassing family friendly music and art hive of activity on Bank Holiday Monday 4th June.

Set in the heart of Shoreditch, this festival-come-street party will showcase the ‘creative DNA’ of the area. The day’s events include; an outdoor live art exhibition and art auction; two open air stages providing an eclectic backdrop of live music, DJ’s and Spoken Word; a market area of local designers and artist plus over 10 venues each housing their own individual music and arts focused programming. Most importantly this is a free event.

Rivington Street Festivals’ daytime programming will run from 12noon - 9pm; after 9pm the outdoor stages finish and the evening programming takes over within the local venues.

Although a free event, entry donations are welcomed and will help support our charity partner C.A.L.M. The campaign against living miserably (CALM) was set up to reduce the high suicide rate amongst men under 35, currently the biggest killer of young men in the UK. Entry is guaranteed by registering on our website; www.rivingtonstreetfestival.co.uk. Alternatively come down early on the day as entry is on a first come first served basis.

Rivington Street Festivals outdoor music show will be brought to you from a selection of the best local promoters around. Boglewatz, Super Dupa Fly, Rock The Belles, Yeti in the Basement, Batty Bass & Work It DJ’s are just some of the talent taking centre stage on the day; Remedy will also be providing live spoken word. The extensive evening programming will take place within the surrounds of Juno, Bedroom Bar, Callooh Callay, Dragon, Cargo, Strong Room and Bar Music Hall

The art focus will consist of Artwords Book Shop, Black Rat press gallery and other pop up galleries along the road, holding a series of concurrent exhibitions. From a film perspective Future Shorts (Future Cinema) will be holding a screening in one of the venues along Rivington Street. Whilst art comes alive via Ifreecans Collective who will be creating a live art show/exhibition in real time followed by an auction of their work. Ed Hicks is also present on the day showcasing his inspirational live art skills.

A market area of handpicked designers and artists will range from fashion and jewellery to original art prints. You’ll be able to browse their collections, talk to the next big designers and most importantly, purchase items. Collections from VV Vintage, TUK Store, Narzipan and Anna Gregory are just some of leading local brands taking part in this exhilarating day.

The cool and innovative venues along this road will open their doors with a day of unique programming, offering their very own experience; from captivating music and exhibitions, to film screenings, stand-up comedy and spoken word.
