To the Stadiums! (Russian and Soviet Sports posters of XX century)

The exhibition follows the fascinating story of sports development in Russia throughout XX century as reflected in posters. The show includes little known examples of Soviet design of 1920-30s as well as other epochs. See the vivid images of sports evolving from pastime of the few to the instrument of building a healthy nation and to the means of achieving international prestige.

A Soviet-themed launch party will be held on 26 June at 18.30 (please email [email protected] if you are attending).

This event is part of Russia's programme of the London Festival of Architecture and was conceived to give the many fans of the Russian athletes at London 2012 a taste of how Russia's sporting history started.
