The Embassy Bar

Noisy, awful,extremely over loud music. Not more than a dark pub pretending to be a club. The worst staff ever, but the cloakroom girl. I was stopped outside and asked to pay the entrance fee in a really heavy rainy evening. I told the porter to allow me to go to the entrance hall just to open my wallet (I was completely wet and carrying my scarf to protect my hair). He allowed me in just after asking him for the forth time and looking at him completely angry. Well, I was there only to celebrate a friend of mine’s birthday which is why I insisted to stay, otherwise, seriously, I would never stay in a place where already at the entrance someone treats me so badly. Must close down.

My favourite bar in town!! Don't change it and please don't change the wall-paper!!

This bar is one of Islington's best kept secrets and well worth the stroll down from Upper Street. Great music, normal people and cool unique feel. It beats the likes of the upper street pub and bar chains hands down. Had a fab new year year's here last month. I love it.

This DJ bar rocks! just off the very beaten track of Upper St away from the chain pub nasties it's always filled with happy revellers on a saturday night. The Staff are invariably on great form when i'm here despite being busy. Music is great to dance or chill to depending what floor you're on. Cosy places to sit down, vintage decor with some quirky features, effortlessly fun but chilled atmosphere. Clean loos! Love it.
