The Cat's Back

This is one of those rare gems where from the moment you walk in you are transported to a world full of mysterious objects which are all lit up solely by candle light. Although small this adds to the atmosphere, in the winter it is cosy and warm and in the summer, because it is on an incredibly quite road, you can sit outside without being disturbed by cars or buses (and it's only 10 secs from the river). This is a pub where you will be sitting next to strangers and by the end of the night are chatting like you have known each other for years. Food is great, as are the drinks and the staff are lovely. This is a pub which everyone should experience at least once and is the best pub in London
