All In London Review
A mainstay of London’s club scene
Despite having a not-to-be-sneered-at capacity of 750, Electrowerkz feels much smaller as each room maintains intimate proportions, not to mention peeling paint and a general rough-round-the-edges aesthetic, but if it’s glitz you’re after you’ve come to the wrong place. The bar isn’t up to much (no bottle beers) but that hardly matters, unpretentious and easygoing, it’s the sort of place where no one bats en eyelid, no matter what your neighbour is doing. Ironically, Electrowerkz was trussed up as the far more glamorous Double Club during its temporary existence in 2009, when the walls were covered with bright African-inspired murals and the cans of Red Stripe were replaced by Raspberry Daiquiris, but loyal fans breathed a sigh of relief when Fondazione Prada’s venture came to an end and regular nights such as Bang Face were able to return home.
