The Pleasure Unit

i was thoroughly dissapointed with this promising venue. i went on a tuesday night to see some new london bands. the sound was poor - too loud and no clarity. although this is normal (!), i have to say that in this case it was far below average.

this is excusable, but what isn't is rude bar staff. the prices were high i'm afraid and i was treated very rudely when i complained. i was told to that i would have to lump it or it was implied that i would be physically kicked out. not an experience i would repeat. go to the hope and anchor on upper street or the betsey trotwood. not here.

Popped into this place to check out some london bands. seemed quite good but the sound was all over the place. I had a quick chat with the arrogant american sound engineer, which led to a torrent of foul-mouthed abuse. The bar staff and owner, i am afraid, were very similar. dont think i will be going back here in a hurry, unless i want to chat up the miserable old scottish hag behind the bar who short-changed me.
